hi there my name is Alicen im 22 in Victoria with a fiancee and 10 week old son! I have decided i definitely want to do beauty and stumbled across this site as im considering just starting with nails instead of doing a cert III in beauty services...the reasoning is so I still have time with my son...

I know the best training is hands on training however I personally think my son is a bit young for day care and I have no family in this state to babysit, all my friends also have young babies! I was considering Jeanette Thomas which is all online, my hesitation is A its not hands on and B her course is currently not Nationally Recognized but on completion you are issued with an Industry Recognised Certificate. I read on another post which i cant find again that if the course isn't Nationally Recognized you can't receive wholesale discounts.

I just can't decide whats going to be best for me and my family, I don't want to burden them or myself too much but I just can't wait to get my foot in the door.

then theres TAFE, Casey College of Beauty, Elly lukas, Ella bache long distance as the only academy is in north Sydney.

Any advice or experience is much appreciated.
