Just a quick note to let you know that we are still trying to keep up with removing accounts and posts that are completely off topic and obviously just excessive spam and advertising.
We do have it on our long term goal to update the forum and revitalise it somewhat. Finding time is the hard part, the important thing to us in regards to the forum is keeping it free of spammers and keeping the 60,000+ posts available for people as it is still an invaluable resource.
So apologies if we've been slow sometimes getting to the spam messages. I think what we will do shortly is only allow new users to post in the introductions forum until we "upgrade" their account to a registered user status. That way we only have to check one forum for spam, and we'd still upgrade people's accounts quickly so they can post anywhere if they appear to be genuine.
Thanks

Georgy, (although I'll get Paul to do all of that!
