Artform-Wholesale wrote:Hi Georgy and everyone

I received the following quote from my printer for the posters.

A2 (420 x 594mm) = $22 each
A1 (594 x 841mm) = $33 each
If less than 5 there is a $10 delivery charge.

What do you all think - is this Reasonable?

Terri

PS Lisa did you mention something about it being in A3? will it look alright if I go bigger?

Thanks,
Terri

Terri,

I have just spoken to my printer/office supplies store and they have given me a quote for full colour A3 @ $4.25 per sheet. I thought the price you were quoted was a bit steep, certainly did not sound right to me.

No problems Terri, but even if it did include laminating it still should not be that expensive... I guess maybe they are charging that much because it is not a lot of posters that are to be printed, if it were hundreds then that would bring the cost down also...

Anyway let me know how you get on and i will see what i can do from here.

Just adding to the printer quote thread..

There is usually a large jump in price between A1 or A2 and A3.

A3 printers are very common and affordable.

A1 and A2 are considered 'large format' and there is definitely usually a much larger jump in cost per print. To print larger than A3 requires more specialised and pricier printing machines, hence the jump in price.

Those prices seem about right/reasonable for A1 and A2.. if they were laminated it would probably add another $20-$30 onto the price of those.

Oh thanks for letting me/us know that, i actually have never worked in anything bigger than A3 and certainly have never had anything printed in that size, so it sounded rather expensive, but that explains why,. thanks for that Spoony much appreciated.

Here are the prices from my printer for A3

With the A3 (420mm x 297mm), I need them printed digitally, which is:

Printing on 150gsm Gloss
1-25 = $1.70 each
26-50 = $1.60 each
51-100 = $1.50 each

Laminating (min 10)
10-25 = $3.30 each
26-50 = $3.10 each
51-100 = $2.90 each

He did say to make sure that the images are print quality.

Hey Cols, if you can find someone with a A3 colour printer like an office shop they can do them for "Approx" $4 or $5 a pop, of course that depends on the prices they have, i have heard some charge around the $12 mark for one sheet that size...

You will have to ask Georgy to send you the full size PDF to get printed, i do not have it anymore after my computer had a caniption fit last year...

Actually, Georgy, can you forward me the PDF of both the nail tips posters please, we can get them printed and put in our "Salon" :D :D
