Bespoke Nail Table (for mobile use)

Postby Shimmy » Thu Feb 17, 2011 8:19 pm

I was reading my Nails mag and spotted the "new trend" - a bespoke mobile nail table.

Thing is, it looks exactly like a magician's table (it has a drawer section underneath) only a lot more expensive.
$550 - ouch!

I like the way they've tacked on a little card holder at the front but am wondering - where would you stack your polishes?

I secretly lust after one of these

Only available in the US *le sigh* Has anyone used one?

Oh, that's the one Holly (Fingernailfixer) uses....yes, I drooled over it too when I saw it on her FB site. She had soooo much packed into it as well, and it comes with its own containers.

:D Hey Im wanting the Buff n Go too! Not sure how much postage is?? I have sent emails but still waiting to hear back. Holly "fingernailfixer" mentioned that if a few of us were wanting one maybe the shipping/cost would be cheaper buying in bulk? :)

The Buffngo has been around for years. A friend of mine has one. And it's very nifty. She won't give it to me though (beetch) I've always like them and now that I'm getting back into nails again I'm seriously thinking about getting one even if it's just to keep everything in one neat and tidy corner at home.

They do ship out here. It's US$249 plus shipping which is around $70. Given the US and Aussie dollar are pretty much on par, it's basically dollar for dollar. Some people don't like it but functionally it offers so much more than a collapsible card table.

Watch the bulk buy. Bulk is usually in packs of ten. Thing is, you can only lawfully import into Australia with no GST (and on a non commercial basis) if the total is under $1,000 (well, at the moment anyway as it's presently under review as retailers are whinging about this).

Hey Shimmy, whats the chances of getting a pic of one that is stocked and with a person sitting at it so I can see it in action? :D

It is a fantastic idea, isn't it?

There's also a hook on the side where you can hang a shelf for your polishes if you want too as well as a little hole in the back so that you can plug in your light or e-file and not have the cord dangling everywhere. My only concern would be shipping costs.

As for the first pic up the top that I posted up top of the folding card table. I know where she gets those lights. They're Global lamps from IKEA. I was wracking my brains because I knew I'd seen them before. I went to IKEA today to get a table and voila, there they were...for $29.95.
