I am using Acrylic paint and it seems to thick, like it doesn't stick to the paint or nail.

Hello. :-)
I like josonga brand of acrylic paint, but any good quality folk art paint will work, but they need to be watered down slightly before flowing freely on the nail. They are water based so just add a drop or two to your pea sized amount on ur pallet and mix it in with your brush. Also dont try and paint on a shiny finished surface. I like to finish file, then block buff to get out the deeper scratches so ur paint flows evenly, then paint design and cap in a gel polish. Another little hint is to put ur gel polish on, freeze cure for 10 seconds, then apply a second coat. This makes a thicker layer to prevent it chipping off where u have painted. And if you have painted the whole tip, make sure you really cap your edges. Hope that helps.. happy painting!
